My final major project for the HNC GraphicDesign Course was to re-design a cafe or barbers/hairdressers which are based in Witan Studios at Milton Keynes. Unfortunately, Witan Studios said that cafe was already designed and barber shop is not moving in their building anymore. There is a Thai restaurant called Thai Modern there, which I assumed would need a rebranding and as it got more clear that the brief became hypothetical, redesigning Thai Modern restaurant was more realistic for the outcome to be used one day.

The Thai Modern Restaurant is based in Milton Keynes, Witan Studios building. The restaurant’s aim is to provide clients with an unforgettable experience. The Thai Modern Restaurant recreates the warm and friendly atmosphere of Thailand, with enthusiastic Thai staff dressed in silk, who are always delighted to provide a personal, courteous service in the true tradition of Thai culture. The beautiful surroundings in their restaurant feature magnificent hand-carved teak furniture and traditional carvings, original Thai decor and the calming flow of water with an abundance of tropical plants. The restaurant uses traditional ingredients and only the freshest produce.

My idea was to give the restaurant a modern look through the branding, create matching style within the restaurant and kind of adapt ideas to their cultural and authentic look.
